Terms and Conditions

Peony & Rose Wedding Stationery (“Peony & Rose”) reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. By placing an order with Peony & Rose, the customer agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions in force at the time the order is placed.

 

 

Quotes and Discounts

Quotes, including any discounts applied, are valid for 1 week from the date of issue.

 

 

Prices

Prices may be changed at any time at the discretion of Peony & Rose. Any changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.

 

 

Sample Packs

Sample packs are available at a cost of £4.95 and include one white envelope, one coloured envelope, one colour chart and one 5×7-inch pre-printed sample invitation. Additional sample invitations may be added at a cost of £1.50 per invitation. Sample invitations are pre-printed and cannot be personalised with names, wedding information, dates, venue illustrations or wedding colours. Sample packs are dispatched within 2–3 business days via Royal Mail 2nd Class. Due to variations in the printing process and between batches of card stock, the colour and finish of completed stationery orders may differ slightly from the samples received.

 

 

Ordering Requirements

A minimum order quantity of 8 applies to table numbers and menu cards. A minimum order quantity of 20 applies to save the date cards, wedding invitations, evening invitations, pocketfolds, vellum jackets, teardrop paper clips, coloured envelopes, self-adhesive wax seals, RSVP cards, details cards, thank you cards and silk chiffon ribbon. A minimum order quantity of 30 applies to plantable seed paper save the date cards, place cards, place tags, and orders of service. A minimum spend of £45 per order applies to before-the-day stationery, and a minimum spend of £100 per order applies to on-the-day stationery. This includes any additional stationery ordered separately following an initial order. Vellum jackets, pocketfolds, self-adhesive wax seals, coloured envelopes, teardrop paper clips and silk chiffon ribbon are available exclusively as part of a wedding stationery order with Peony & Rose and are not sold separately. Unless the stationery assembly service has been ordered, vellum jackets, teardrop paper clips, self-adhesive wax seals and silk chiffon ribbon will be supplied separately and require assembly by the customer.

 

 

Designs and Handmade Finishes

Certain products and finishing touches are handmade, and slight variations between individual items may occur. These variations are a natural characteristic of the production process and do not constitute a fault. This includes self-adhesive wax seals, vellum jackets, embossed stationery, deckle edging, plantable seed paper and silk chiffon ribbon. Some designs feature small parts or decorative elements and may not be suitable for young children. Children should be supervised when handling stationery containing small parts.

 

 

Intellectual Property

All artwork, designs and illustrations are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of Peony & Rose. No artwork or design may be copied, downloaded, edited, reproduced, shared or otherwise used without the prior written permission of Peony & Rose. This includes the extraction or use of individual design elements. Artwork, designs or illustrations must not be uploaded to, submitted to or used with artificial intelligence platforms, image generators or similar technologies without prior written permission. It is expressly prohibited to scrape, copy or otherwise use any content from this website for the purpose of training, developing or supplying content to any artificial intelligence or machine-learning system or technology, including systems capable of generating works in the same or a substantially similar style.

 

 

Colours

Colours displayed on screens may differ from the final printed result. Where a colour swatch is provided, every reasonable effort will be made to achieve a close match. However, due to the nature of the printing process, slight colour variations may occur between different print runs and printers. As a result, the colour of the finished stationery may differ from any samples provided. Larger stationery items exceeding A3 size and stationery printed on plantable seed paper are produced using different printing processes and equipment from standard wedding stationery and may therefore vary in colour. The colour of self-adhesive wax seals and silk chiffon ribbons may also differ from that displayed on a screen, and slight variations may occur between batches.

 

 

Materials and Card Stock

Standard printed stationery up to A3 size is produced using 300gsm warm white Italian textured card. A6 plantable save-the-date cards are printed on handmade seed paper embedded with wildflower seeds. Larger wedding signs are printed on smooth white board. Translucent vellum paper is used for vellum jackets, and 150gsm textured white paper is used for the inside pages of orders of service. Card samples are available to purchase for £4.95. As colour and finish may vary slightly between different batches of the same card or paper stock, minor variations may occur between samples and the final printed stationery. Such variations are inherent to the materials used and do not constitute a fault. Refunds will not be issued on this basis.

 

 

Silk Chiffon Ribbon

Silk chiffon ribbon has a raw edge and is approximately 2cm in width. It is supplied cut to length and ready for assembly. As the ribbon is handmade, slight variations in colour and width may occur between individual lengths. Silk is a natural fibre, and minor imperfections in the weave may be present. These variations are characteristic of the material and handmade production process and do not constitute a fault.

 

 

Plantable Seed Paper

Due to the nature of seed paper and its uncoated, uneven surface, minor variations and imperfections in the printed finish may occur. These are a natural characteristic of printing onto seed paper and do not constitute a fault. Refunds will not be issued on this basis. For the best possible germination results, seed paper should be planted within 2 years. As germination is dependent on a number of environmental factors, it cannot be guaranteed.

 

 

Envelopes

Blank white envelopes are included with all save the date cards, invitations, RSVP cards and thank you card orders. Coloured envelope upgrades are available at an additional cost.

 

 

Payment

Full payment in pound sterling (£) is required to confirm and secure an order. Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Bank transfer details will be provided when a quote is issued.

 

 

Supply of Information

To minimise amendments and the need for reproofing, all wording supplied for wedding stationery should be final and complete, with all content checked for accuracy. This includes spelling, spacing, dates, timings and grammar. All information required to complete an order for on-the-day stationery must be supplied to Peony & Rose at least 6 weeks before the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all required information is provided within this timeframe. Final approval to print on-the-day stationery must be received by Peony & Rose no later than 4 weeks before the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where the required information or final approval is not received within the stated timeframe, Peony & Rose cannot guarantee that the stationery will be produced and delivered in time for the wedding and accepts no responsibility for any resulting delay.

 

 

Venue Illustrations

Where an illustration of the venue is not already available in the Peony & Rose illustration library, one complimentary venue illustration is included with orders from the Venue Collection. Additional illustrations are available at a cost of £25 each. Venue illustrations will be created once full payment has cleared. Any photograph supplied for the purpose of creating a venue illustration must be the customer's own photograph or an image for which the customer has obtained the necessary permission from the copyright owner. Peony & Rose cannot create illustrations from images taken from the internet or social media without appropriate written permission. The photograph should provide a clear, front-facing view of the venue, with the building as the main feature. The illustration will be created using the photograph supplied and transformed into a watercolour-style illustration. Details that are not visible or captured within the original photograph cannot be added to the illustration. Once an illustration has been created, only minor amendments can be made.

 

 

Proofs

A digital PDF proof will be provided by email free of charge, based on the wording supplied and the colours and design agreed as part of the order. The quoted price includes two rounds of amendments to wording and colours. Where further amendments are required, or where the extent or nature of the changes involves significant additional design work, an additional design fee may apply. This may include excessive changes to the original design, repeated or substantial changes to wording, or a request for a complete redesign. Any additional design work will be charged at Peony & Rose's current hourly design rate. Customers will be advised of any additional charges and approval will be obtained before any chargeable work is undertaken. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully check the proof and ensure that all details are correct before giving approval, including wording, layout, sizing, colours, dates, timings, spelling, spacing and grammar. Peony & Rose does not provide a proofreading service. Once a proof has been approved, Peony & Rose cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions contained within the approved proof. Any reprints or replacement stationery required as a result will be charged in full.

 

 

Production Times

Once an order has been confirmed and full payment has cleared, Peony & Rose will contact the customer within 1 business day to request the required wording and colour details. Once this information has been received, a digital PDF proof of the personalised wedding stationery will be provided within 1 week. Once the PDF proof has been approved, the stationery will proceed to print. Before-the-day stationery will be dispatched within 2 weeks of final proof approval, with an additional 1 week required where the stationery assembly service, seeded paper, embossing or deckle edge stationery has been ordered. On-the-day stationery will be dispatched within 4 weeks of final proof approval, with an additional 1 week required where the stationery assembly service or deckle edge stationery has been ordered. Production and dispatch times may occasionally be affected by unforeseen circumstances. Where this occurs, Peony & Rose will keep the customer informed of any changes to the expected timeline. Peony & Rose reserves the right to close for annual leave at certain times throughout the year. Details of any planned closures will be displayed on the website and may affect the production and dispatch times stated above.

 

 

Delivery

All orders are dispatched and delivered Monday to Friday. Delivery is tracked and may require a signature upon receipt. Delivery to mainland UK addresses is £6.95. This excludes the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, where alternative delivery charges may apply. Peony & Rose takes every reasonable care when packaging orders. In the unlikely event that a parcel arrives damaged, customers must write ‘damaged’ when signing for the delivery and notify Peony & Rose by email within 24 hours of receipt. Failure to report damage within this timeframe may affect our ability to make a claim with the courier and may result in Peony & Rose being unable to replace damaged items free of charge. Where on-the-day stationery is ordered alongside save the date cards or invitations, the on-the-day stationery will be produced and dispatched separately at a later date, once the final guest list and wording have been confirmed. Occasionally, parcels may be delayed in transit due to circumstances beyond our control. Delivery times provided by Royal Mail, Parcelforce and DPD are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Customers should allow sufficient time for delivery and any potential postal delays when placing an order.

 

 

Safe Place Deliveries

If a customer requests or authorises their order to be delivered to a safe place, neighbour or other alternative location, the parcel will be considered delivered once the courier has confirmed delivery to that location. Peony & Rose cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to an order after it has been delivered to a customer-authorised safe place. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any safe place they select is suitable and secure, and that the parcel is adequately protected from weather, theft and other potential damage.

 

 

Cancellations & Refunds

Silk chiffon ribbon and self-adhesive wax seals are handmade to order. Once your order has been agreed and payment has been received, the colour, quantity and style cannot be changed. Orders for silk chiffon ribbon and self-adhesive wax seals cannot be cancelled or refunded, and refunds will not be issued for minor colour variations or discrepancies. As all wedding stationery is personalised and tailored to your requirements, orders cannot be refunded once the final proof has been approved. If an order is cancelled after design work has begun and proofs have been exchanged, a 50% refund of the order value will be issued. Peony & Rose reserves the right to cancel an order at any time. In the event that an order is cancelled after artwork or proofs have been created, all artwork and designs will remain the exclusive property and copyright of Peony & Rose. The artwork must not be copied, reproduced, shared or used without prior written permission. Unauthorised use may constitute an infringement of copyright and other intellectual property rights.
